Noatum Terminal Castellón has been awarded in the IV Edition of the Faro PortCastelló Distinctions, held last Friday in Sala Opal del Grao in Castellón. Óscar Magdalena, Terminal’ Director, picked up the award in the Environmental Protection Category of this edition, which was also attended by Joaquín Ramón Lestau, Managing Director of Noatum Terminals and Jose María Salt, Director of Noatum Maritime in Castellón.
The recognition is due to the company’ commitment in terms of environment as it plans to invest in new facilities and improve the infrastructure of the port providing it with high environmental protection measures. More specifically, the company will develop a full encapsulated storage space close to the pier for discharging operations from there, and the raw materials will be transported by automated conveyor belt right to the boxes inside the warehouse. Weigh-bridges, wheel washing equipment, eco-hoppers will also be built. In addition, it is very clear the commitment to the Integrated Management System, since it is certified in OSHAS 18001, ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and State Ports Referential (General Merchandise and Bulk Referential of Ports of the State).
IV Faro de Castellón, Awards Ceremony, which was attended by the Mayoress of Castellón, Amparo Marco and Francisco Toledo Lobo, President of the Port Authority of Castellón, is being held since 2016 to strengthen the sense of belonging to the Port Community of Castellón. It also contributes to the knowledge in different areas and recognizes the work merits.
A Committee of 55 people from different sectors formed the jury of this Edition who deliberated a total of 9 categories: communication, innovation, business trajectory, job security, business initiative, environmental protection, social commitment, equality and culture.
