The Baltic and International Maritime Council (BIMCO) has distinguished the Santander port as the best performing dry bulk terminal in the world, according to BIMCO’s 2017 Dry Bulk Terminals Vetting Report that covers 279 terminals in 80 countries.
Bimco has analysed the evaluations provided by ship owners in 36 issues that reflect the port’s activity in main areas: namely docking, mooring and services to the ship, services provided by the port terminal, equipment available, easy access and exchange of information with the port terminal and efficiency and quality of the cargo loading and unloading service.
Noatum Terminal Santander has the most modern terminal in Spain for handling powder and bulk materials and complies with the highest standards of environmental, health and safety disciplines.
