We are pleased to announce that the Opening Ceremony of the Planetarium of the University of Cantabria will take place on 19 June in Santander. The event follows a long-standing collaboration between Noatum and the University and promises to be a fascinating and educational experience for all attendees.
The Santander Planetarium is an invaluable resource for introducing people to the world of astronomy, both for educational and amateur purposes. With a specialised projector that accurately shows the apparent motion of the Sun, the Moon, the planets, their satellites and the stars, visitors will have the opportunity to explore the cosmos as never before. This project also has the active support of the Department of Culture and Tourism of Santander City Council and is becoming one of the main educational and tourist attractions in the region, collaborating with various municipal activities and organisations, such as the ‘CAR Príncipe Felipe’ High Performance Sailing Centre and the ‘Oceanographic Museum’.
The inauguration of the Planetarium will be an event not to be missed, where those attending will have the opportunity to immerse themselves in the fascinating world of astronomy and enjoy a unique experience in Puertochico, one of the most beautiful areas of Santander. There will be educational sessions, interactive demonstrations and the opportunity to learn from experts in the field.
This joint project between Noatum and the University of Cantabria reflects our shared commitment to education, innovation and scientific dissemination. We are delighted to be part of this initiative that promotes knowledge and exploration of the universe.
