The Port of Tarragona is one of the few Spanish ports with a ministerial authorisation for this type of cargoes
Noatum Codemar Terminal Tarragona (NCTT) is a stevedoring company specialized, among others, in port operations for livestock in destination to foreign markets, mainly Middle East and North Africa. Only during the last year, NCTT loaded 21,000 tonnes of this particular cargo in 40 livestock vessels calling at Tarragona.
The Port of Tarragona is one of the few Spanish Mediterranean ports with a special authorization from the Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries, Food and Environment for the loading of livestock. The port is also equipped with all the services needed for the animals’ welfare, including veterinarian examination, triage area and open spaces for inspecting trucks.
The success of NCTT proves the Group’s commitment to promoting the traffic diversification as well as bringing other countries closer to Spanish livestock producers.
