Noatum Logistics, the logistics division of Noatum Maritime Group, which is already present in countries like Spain, France, Portugal, Morocco, Algeria, Chile and China, has completed its establishment in Turkey two years after the acquisition of the forwarder Komet, a leading company in the import traffic field, in 2015.
Immediately after the acquisition, and following the strategic plan, it launched a diversification plan that has led the company to double its staff in the country in two years, surpassing one hundred employees, and allowed the company to position itself as specialized forwarder also in the field of import maritime traffic. In this way, the company has consolidated its position as leading forwarder in Turkey, not only for importers, but also as one of the most important references for Turkish exporters, becoming the biggest Spanish multinational logistics company in the Eastern Mediterranean area.
Furthermore, several divisions (Projects, Intermodal, Iso Tanks and Air) have been created in Turkey and new offices have been opened in Izmir, Mersin and Gaziantep, besides the headquarters in Istanbul.
Komet Noatum Logistics has become the biggest forwarder in import volumes in Turkey, and is ranked as one of the top 5 companies in export traffic. In 2017, it managed over 65.000 TEUs in total, of which 70% were imports and 30% exports. Long-term plans include achieving a leadership position in other fields, such as projects or Iso Tanks.
