Noatum Terminal Malaga in collaboration with the Malagaport Foundation are organising an information day for the commemoration of the World Day for Safety and Health at Work, to be held on 28 April in the Port of Malaga. Entitled ‘Trabajo en Altura’ (Work at Heights), this conference aims to highlight the value of this type of activity, while at the same time broadening knowledge on the subject of Occupational Risk Prevention.
The programme includes a theoretical part, with various presentations by experts in the sector, and a practical part, in which the facilities of Noatum Terminal Malaga will be visited to see the lifting elements. In addition, there will be information about the activities in the terminal and there will be people specialised in these activities to facilitate learning and understanding of the current regulations regarding the prevention of occupational hazards in the port sector.
The ‘Work at Height’ conference is an opportunity to learn first-hand about port activities related to the prevention of occupational hazards, as well as the regulations in force in the sector. In addition, it will be attended by experts in occupational risk prevention from the Junta de Andalucía, experts from companies that supply specific materials and machinery at height and shipping companies that have to know and adapt to the prevention of occupational risks.
This conference will highlight the importance of health and safety at work and will emphasize proactivity versus reactivity. Noatum, through our participation in this event, will advocate values such as the care and well-being of people and will present the Well-being management model as a key tool for achieving a safe and healthy working environment.
In addition, emphasis will be placed on the importance of teamwork, under the motto “One Brand, One Goal & One Team”. Félix Delgado, Health, Safety & Wellbeing Manager at Noatum, will have the opportunity to participate as a speaker and explain how we apply these values and strategies among Noatum Group employees.
